7 Days of Election Week: What Does Kamala Really Have to Offer Us?
With so much at stake, we need to put things in perspective
As voters, one of the most important questions we’re asking ourselves on November 5th (or sometime before that) is this: What does [candidate] have to offer?
I’m reflecting specifically today on Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, the two presidential candidates. But it’s a voter’s job to do research on all the candidates they plan on voting for, not just presidents.
Still, the presidential election is unprecedentedly high-stakes this year, and it’s a disservice to our country and its people not to decide carefully. I know most of us have already done our research and made up our minds, so the question seems laughable (I’ll admit I had a chuckle just writing it, because one person is so clearly more suited for the job). But it’s still a good time to put it all in perspective.
(Before I begin: for anyone claiming that Kamala was “never elected” — the popular vote elected Kamala in 2020, period. When you elect a President, you’re also electing a Vice President. Biden stepped down, she stepped in.)
Now let’s look at the facts and what they mean to me, and us, personally.
