Hi Amy! Thank you so much for reading my article and for asking this question. I wanted to apologize for the delay in getting back to you--I have just recently gone through my comments.

As far as sources I used that helped me, I have a ton of them! For books, here are some of my favorites:

1. Come As You Are by Emily Nagoski. This book is an absolute must-have for learning about sexuality. It is educational and empowering at the same time!

2. The Ethical Slut by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy. I have not read this entire book, but I plan to soon, and I have read many excerpts. Also a huge source of empowerment and a piece of literature that will help get you familiar & comfortable with sexuality.

3. Three Women by Lisa Taddeo. This book is nonfiction and follows three women throughout their sex lives. While it isn't particularly educational, it is extremely compelling, and for me, it made me feel less alone in my journey with sexuality. It explored emotions, desire, and all that intertwines with sex.

4. Hunger by Roxane Gay. This book is not directly about sexuality, but it is a memoir based on the author's journey with her body. For me, my insecurity about my body was one of the biggest barriers to feeling sexually liberated, so this book was incredibly helpful and comforting.

Aside of books, I also flooded my social media feed with sex-positive people and content creators that could educate me on sexuality. Here are a few of my favorite instagram accounts that have helped me on this journey:

1. @sexwithalexa

2. @sexwithemily

3. @lovewithjanel

4. @bellesaco (Bellesa is a huge destination for female sexuality. They also have a website and a private Facebook group, which I would HIGHLY recommend joining--it's one huge community of sex-positive, welcoming, kind women.)

Hopefully this is helpful to you. I wish you the best of luck on this journey and I hope that you are able to find peace and comfort within yourself. Feel free to reach out to me on Instagram @brooklynxreece if you ever want to talk!

Kind regards,

Brooklyn
