Hi, notice how I specified in the beginning of the article that the idea of a “sex strike” is directed at women who sleep with men and AMAB people. I did not in any way act as if straight intercourse is the only way women enjoy sex… I myself am bisexual and very LGBTQ inclusive here :) I also discuss the heteronormativity behind sex shaming at the end of the article.

I think LGBTQ people should be just as sexually liberated and thankfully depending on the relationship they may not have to risk pregnancy (though with the loss of the Roe precedent, LGBTQ rights are likely going to be on the line soon which is also worth calling attention to).

The only reason that this article is angled towards PIV sex is because it is the type of sex that can lead to a pregnancy and thus an abortion, which makes anti-choicers believe they can corner people into abstinence and other onlookers to believe they can campaign things like sex strikes for this cause.
