I'm so glad that you find comfort in this article. As a writer, that means the world to me to know that my experiences touched someone else. Still, I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I know how hard it is, and you deserve better. :(

I hear you on the loyalty part. I felt the same. It was hard for me to imagine leaving my partner as well. The thing that really gave me the courage to do so was actually taking a trip that summer. I realized how big the world was around me and how much I wanted to explore, and I was distanced from him. It allowed me to sort of absorb my emotions and make sense of them before deciding what I wanted to do with him--call it quits. I know that relationship advice isn't one-size-fits-all, though, and it is different for everyone. I certainly believe in you, and I hope the time comes that you are able to do what is best for you.

These comments are public, so other people can see them, to answer your question! If you'd rather talk in private, I have social media and you can find me on Instagram @brooklynxreece. Feel free to send me a DM anytime if you ever want to talk about things. I am always here!
