You are absolutely right about this and I 100% agree. I fear the day when they will come for birth control because we all know they will. Please know that I am not at all directing this message to women and people who are “doing what they have to do to survive.” If people need to abstain or feel safer abstaining that is a decision that they should not be shamed for. I’m simply rejecting many of the “suggestions” (typically from cis men) that women should withhold sex from men partners. It is counterintuitive and sets a double-standard when there are much better ways to take action.
